This recipe uses SP10 to invigorate blood, BL17 to regulate blood, SP6 to nourish blood, CV4 to tonify lower jiao, and LR3 to soothe liver. It reduces heavy menstrual bleeding. Contraindications: Avoid SP6 in pregnancy.

Focus your attention inward, as you visualize the acupuncture points associated with alleviating hypermenorrhea.Begin with SP10, located on the inner thigh, about two fingerbreadths above the kneecap. This point invigorates blood flow, promoting harmony in the blood and alleviating heaviness.
Next, bring your awareness to BL17, found on the back, approximately at the level of the lower ribs, near the spine. This point is key for regulating blood, ensuring its movement is smooth and balanced.
Now, visualize SP6, located just above the inner ankle bone, about four fingerbreadths up the leg. This point nourishes the blood and supports overall reproductive health. Note: avoid this point if there is a possibility of pregnancy.
Shift your focus to CV4, situated about two fingerbreadths below the navel. This point tonifies the lower jiao, strengthening the reproductive organs and enhancing vitality.
Finally, imagine LR3, found on the top of the foot, in the webbing between the big toe and second toe. This point soothes the liver, helping to alleviate stress and emotional tension that can contribute to heavy periods.
