Chronic Hives: Relief for Itchy Skin and Red Welts

This recipe targets chronic hives with LI11 (Quchi) to clear heat, SP10 (Xuehai) to invigorate blood, BL40 (Weizhong) to reduce inflammation, and LU9 (Taiyuan) to strengthen lungs. It relieves itching and welts. Contraindications: Avoid LI11 in severe skin infections; use caution with BL40 in pregnancy.

LI11, located at the outer elbow crease, is known as Quchi. Imagine its warmth clearing heat from your body, alleviating itchiness and soothing your skin. Envision the heat dissipating, leaving a sense of calm in its place. Next, direct your attention to SP10, found on the inner thigh, about two fingerbreadths above the kneecap. This point, called Xuehai, invigorates blood flow. Picture vibrant energy circulating through your bloodstream, nourishing your skin and reducing the redness and welts. Now, shift your focus to BL40, situated at the center of the back of your knee. Known as Weizhong, it helps reduce inflammation. Visualize a soothing wave washing over this area, easing any discomfort and promoting healing. Finally, bring your awareness to LU9, located at the wrist crease, on the thumb side. This point, Taiyuan, strengthens the lungs and supports overall health. Imagine a gentle breath filling your lungs, expanding warmth throughout your body, enhancing your resilience against allergens. As you meditate, visualize these points working in harmony, balancing your skin's condition and restoring its natural state. Allow the warmth and energy from each point to flow through you, harmonizing your body's systems. Breathe deeply, and with each exhalation, release any tension or discomfort related to hives. Embrace a sense of balance and well-being.
