Venous Health: A TCM Guide for Varicose Veins

This recipe uses SP10 to invigorate blood, BL40 (Weizhong) to clear stasis, ST36 to boost Qi, SP6 to nourish Yin, and CV4 to tonify lower jiao. It supports venous circulation. Contraindications: Avoid SP6 in pregnancy.

BioCoherence Meditation

Focus your awareness on the areas of your body where the acupuncture points are located.

Begin with SP10, found on the inner thigh, about two fingers above the knee. This point invigorates your blood, helping to promote circulation and relieve symptoms of stagnation, such as swelling or discomfort in the legs.

Next, bring your attention to BL40, located at the back of your knee. This point is known for clearing blockages and stasis in the body, allowing energy and blood to flow freely, helping to alleviate tension and pain.

Now, visualize ST36, situated about four fingers below the knee, on the outer side of your shin. This point boosts your energy levels, enhancing your overall vitality and supporting your digestive system, which plays a role in nourishing your body.

Shift your focus to SP6, positioned on the inner ankle, about four fingers above the ankle bone. This point nourishes your Yin energy, helping to balance your body's fluids and providing a sense of calm and stability. However, keep in mind to avoid this point if you are pregnant.

Finally, connect with CV4, located about two inches below your belly button. This point tonifies the lower jiao, strengthening your foundational energy and supporting your reproductive health.

As you breathe deeply, visualize a warm, healing light surrounding these points. With each inhalation, imagine this light flowing to SP10, BL40, ST36, SP6, and CV4, invigorating and balancing your body's circulation. With each exhalation, release any tension, heaviness, or discomfort.

Picture the blood flowing freely through your veins, energized and revitalized. See the swelling dissipating, and the varicose veins becoming less pronounced. Allow your body to feel light and balanced as the energy circulates smoothly.

Continue to breathe deeply, letting this healing energy permeate your entire being, bringing it back to its natural, harmonious state. Embrace this feeling of balance and wellness, trusting in your body's ability to heal and restore itself. Allow this sensation to settle within you, anchoring the benefits of this meditation into your physical form.
