Allergy-Induced Sinus Pain: LI20, ST8, GB20, BL7

This recipe targets allergy-induced sinus pain with LI20 (Yingxiang) to clear sinuses, ST8 (Touwei) to relieve facial pressure, GB20 (Fengchi) to clear head, and BL7 (Tongtian) to reduce sinus congestion. It alleviates pain and pressure. Contraindications: Avoid LI20 in nasal infections; use caution with ST8 in scalp conditions.

Imagine a gentle wave of healing energy flowing through your body, focusing on the areas that need attention. Visualize the acupuncture points that can bring relief to allergy-induced sinus pain.

Begin with LI20, located on both sides of the nose, just beside the nostrils. This point, known as Yingxiang, helps to clear the sinuses and alleviate congestion. Picture a soothing light emanating from this area, dissolving any blockages and allowing fresh air to flow freely.

Next, move to ST8, situated at the temples, slightly above the hairline. Known as Touwei, this point helps to relieve facial pressure. Envision a warm sensation spreading from this point, gently easing tension and creating a sense of lightness in your face.

Now, shift your focus to GB20, located at the base of the skull, in the hollows on either side of the neck. This point, called Fengchi, works to clear the head and promote clarity. Feel the energy from this area releasing stress and opening pathways, allowing your thoughts to flow freely.

Finally, bring your awareness to BL7, found on the back of the head, approximately two fingerbreadths above the nape of the neck. Known as Tongtian, this point helps reduce sinus congestion. Visualize a calming wave washing over this area, relieving pressure and creating space for ease and comfort.

As you meditate on these points, allow the healing energy to balance your body, restoring it to its natural state of well-being. Trust in the process, and let go of any discomfort, inviting peace and clarity to fill the spaces that were once tight.
