This recipe uses ST36 to boost Qi, SP9 to resolve damp, LI11 to clear heat, LR3 to soothe liver, and GB34 to relax tendons. It reduces arthritis inflammation. Contraindications: Use caution with LI11 in skin infections.

Focus your awareness on the areas of discomfort in your joints, allowing your breath to deepen as you visualize the effective acupuncture points that can aid in relieving inflammation and pain.Begin with ST36, located just below the kneecap, about four fingerbreadths down and one fingerbreadth to the outside of the shinbone. This point helps to boost your body's energy, supporting overall vitality and strength.
Next, bring your attention to SP9, situated on the inner side of the leg, just below the knee. This point works to resolve dampness in the body, reducing swelling and heaviness. Imagine the excess moisture dissipating, bringing clarity and lightness to your joints.
Now, visualize LI11, found at the outer edge of the elbow crease. This point clears heat from the body and promotes a sense of coolness and calm. Imagine this coolness washing over your inflamed areas, soothing pain and discomfort.
Shift your focus to LR3, located on the top of the foot, in the webbing between the big toe and the second toe. This point helps to soothe the liver, promoting a sense of emotional balance and relaxation. Visualize any tension or stress melting away, allowing your body to find its natural rhythm.
Finally, bring your awareness to GB34, located just below the knee on the outer side of the leg. This point relaxes the tendons and enhances flexibility. Picture your joints becoming more supple, free from stiffness, as if they are being gently massaged and stretched.
As you hold these visualizations in your mind, breathe deeply and evenly. Inhale the healing energy that these points provide, and exhale any pain or discomfort. Allow your body to experience the flow of balance, as energy circulates freely through your joints.
With each breath, feel the inflammation reducing, the swelling lessening, and the pain subsiding. You are nurturing your body, restoring it to a state of harmony and well-being. Continue this deep and nourishing breath, allowing the healing process to unfold naturally and effortlessly.
