This recipe uses LU9 (Taiyuan) to strengthen lungs, BL13 (Feishu) to support lungs, ST36 to boost Qi, CV17 (Danzhong) to regulate chest, and KI3 to tonify kidneys. It improves oxygen supply and utilisation. Contraindications: Use caution with CV17 in chest conditions.

Focus on the area of your body where you feel breath and energy most acutely. Visualize the following acupuncture points, each serving a unique purpose in enhancing your oxygen utilization.LU9, located at the wrist's crease on the thumb side, connects deeply with your lungs. Imagine a warm, golden light emanating from this point, strengthening the lung's ability to breathe and take in life-giving oxygen.
Next, shift your attention to BL13, found on your back, about two finger widths from the spine at the level of the lower shoulder blade. Envision this point as a protective shield, supporting your lungs and promoting their function, allowing you to draw in breath effortlessly.
Now, bring your awareness to ST36, located about four finger widths below the kneecap, and one finger width to the outside. Picture this point as a reservoir of vitality, boosting your overall energy and enhancing the flow of Qi throughout your body.
Move to CV17, situated in the center of your chest, at the level of your fourth rib. This point regulates the chest area, opening it up to receive nourishing air. Visualize it as a gentle breeze flowing in and out, harmonizing your breath and emotions.
Finally, focus on KI3, located on the inside of your ankle, in a small depression behind the bone. Imagine this point as a source of deep nourishment, tonifying your kidneys and enhancing your overall energy levels, contributing to your sense of vitality and well-being.
As you visualize these points, breathe deeply and rhythmically. With each inhale, imagine drawing in energy and oxygen, filling your lungs and body with life. With each exhale, release any tension, fatigue, or feelings of shortness of breath. Allow the golden light from LU9, the protective energy from BL13, the vitality from ST36, the openness from CV17, and the nourishment from KI3 to flow together, creating a harmonious balance within.
Feel the interconnectedness of your body as these points work in unison. Experience the gentle rise and fall of your chest, the strength in your breath, and the renewed energy coursing through you. Allow this balanced state to settle within, creating a deep sense of calm and clarity.
