Drives: Core Emotions Shaping Our Actions and Feelings
Drives are the core emotions in 3 groups (me inside, me outside, others) each having 3 phases: emotion, then feeling, then action. Drives have a positive, constructive side, and a negative, destructive side, each related to one specific emotion.
Feeling refers to the subjective experience of emotions that arise from our core drives, influencing our behavior and overall well-being. Each drive, stemming from primary emotions, plays a crucial role in shaping our responses to internal and external stimuli, thereby impacting our physical, mental, and energetic health. For instance, the interplay between the limbic system and the prefrontal cortex is vital for processing emotions and regulating responses, which directly affects our stress levels, energy balance, and resilience. Furthermore, feelings can influence the autonomic nervous system, affecting heart rate and digestion, thereby linking emotional states to physical health. Positive feelings can enhance vitality by promoting the release of neurotransmitters like dopamine and serotonin, which foster a sense of well-being and energy. Conversely, negative feelings can lead to energy blockages and may manifest as physical ailments. Understanding and channeling these emotions can facilitate emotional harmony, supporting optimal interactions within the body's systems and enhancing overall vitality, resilience, and well-being.
